or were most of his accomplishments because of steroids?
He was mentioned in Jose Canseco's books and Jose has been pretty accurate about the player's he mentioned. Juan's career seemed to take a nose-dive in his early 30's. He played in parts of 17 seasons from 1989-2005. His career numbers are, 1,936 hits, 1,061 runs, 388 DB's, 434 HR's, 1,404 RBI's, .295 BA, .561 Slugging %. Juan was a 2 time MVP. He was a dominant player for a decade from 1991-2001 and had 30 + HR's 7 times and 100 + RBI's 8 times. He was a machine for the Rangers in the 90's. I look at him like I view Albert Belle and Mo Vaughn. They were also both dominant in the 90's and then fell off a mountain in the early 2000's, just like Juan did. I say he's good, but not good enough for the Hall, what do you think?
