  1. Yeah, he'll probably sign a one day contract next year and retire a Mariner...

  2. Nope.  Sure, most fans would like him back, but can he perform, and for how long?  This year is the Mariners' "1963 Mets" year.  If Griffey were to have come back it would have been before the trade deadline, and Pelekoudas didn't seem interested.  Better to finally work with the young talents instead of trading them away or moving them aside for aging stars like Griffey.  Besides, what the Mariners (and everybody else) need is pitching, and that is a scarce commodity.  Again, better to get our prospects on line (Morrow, Rowland-Smith) than sign a chancy bat.

  3. Not in 2008 season at least, in less somehow the White Sox and Mariners meet up in the playoffs. Now he will get to see the Seattle Marniers next week at US Cellular Field, but the Chicago White Sox is not going back to Seattle for the rest of the 2008 season. But I bet that it will be as a vistor, I don't know if he will return as a Mariner. And plus he is getting older, and it will be getting time for him to retire. But as long as he is with the Chicago White Sox or any of the American League teams in 2009 I bet he will return to Seattle, no matter what team and color his uniform is.

  4. More than likely not, Ken Griffey Jr. is with the white sox and they are in contention and they are pretty good, he might be the cog that helps the team get past the Twins and win the division and move deep in the play-offs.

  5. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. We may see it happen. And maybe Ken Griffey Sr. will come out of retirement to play with him, that'd be one awesome thing to see.

  7. There's always a possibly, but he won't go back anytime soon, more than likely, since he just got traded to the White Sox.

  8. umm he just got traded to the white sox... of course not

  9. No because Seattle probably won`t need such a great player such as Ken Griffey Jr.
