  1. Its up to the Hall as to what hat he wears.  His best years were with Seatlle.  He was injured so much of his time with Cincinnati that his numbers don't look as good as those with Seattle.  I would select Seattle

  2. probably wont happen, but...he could get picked up by an AL team and DH for them. If he gets above 700 HR's, he may want to go in with that team

If that doesnt happen, i would say the mariners

  3. Seeing as I'm from Seattle, this is going to be a bit of a biased answer, but here you go.

Every time I think of Griffey, I think of the 1995 season with the Mariners where he helped clinch the AL West.

Every time I hear of him with Cincinnati, he is injured most of the time. I got the lucky chance to see him play against the Yankees while I was on vacation in NY, and that was great.

Still, nearly all of his accomplishments happened in Seattle. So I think he should go as that.

  4. Cincinatti Red! It's the team his father played for and the only team he'll accept that honor for.

  5. both

  6. Actually it will be up to Griffey.  He's played with both Seattle and Cincinnati for a number of years so neither team would be established as his "primary" team.  The HOF does have the ability to dictate what team's cap a player wears in his plaque, but they almost never force the issue unless you're looking at a situation where a guy plays for one team for 11 years, then maybe 2 others for 3 years apiece, making that first team as his "primary" team.

Griffey has said repeatedly over the past few years that he wants to go into the Hall as a Mariner. I'd imagine this has to do with both the fact that most of his accomplishments were compiled in Seattle and the frosty treatment he's received from the Cincinnati fans for most of the past 8 years.

  7. Made his name in seatlle.

  8. well it seems like it should be seattle...but being a buckeye my sentimental vote is reds! (plus i love his dad so i really would love to see him go in as cincy red!)

  9. The HOF will make that decision but I see him going as a Mariner.
