Kobe is the best and will be on the top 3 of the voting, but the MVP doesn't always go to the best player in the league.  It usually goes to the best player of the team with the best 2-3 records in the league.  

Kobe may not win the regular season MVP, but he will receive the Finals MVP when the Lakers win the championship in '09.

Ryan have you been paying attention, Nash just won back to back MVP, before Kobe got his (he should have had one of Nash's but hey). I do think Kobe will get a second MVP along with an NBA title this time.
