  1. Some of the most popular drivers in Nascar history started out as villains.  Whether it was because of lots of success, attitude, etc.  Earnhardt Sr., Darrel Waltrip,Gordon, all started off as villains but ended up as some of the most popular in the history of the sport.  It will take some time, but Kyle could end of pretty popular.  Some fans like that style of driver, some fans hate it.  But either way it still makes them more popular.

  2. no

  3. Popularity?!?!?! I wish, sadly its more like infamy.

My allegiance to Rowdy is one met with blank stares by my friends or even older Nascar fans,.

I dont care what they think, Kyle is a d**n good racer, he is well on his way to getting the Nextel Cup this year and it sucks that everyone picks on him for his attitude but the guys what 23? He will act like a man in his early 20's. Hes awesome in my book.

    Go ROWDY!!

  4. Maybe when he grows up. For now though I think he likes being the winner of the race. And could care less what we think because right now it is all about him. It is obvious that his days of watching Days Of Thunder and playing his play station have paid off big time. His recklous abandone on the track reminds me of the local bull pin here and it amazes me that he can bounce a car off the wall or another car and keep on going. Some skill no doubt but there is alot of luck involved as well.

  5. h**l yes!!!!..he is young and can drive like h**l... Jr nation hates him....he's got a great personality and I am a converted fan, and will follow his career closely!!!!...remember when nobody liked Jeff Gordon in the 1990s???

  6. I'm not insulting Kyle Busch, but I'm don't think he's that popular right now. Of course, it could just be the media blowing the whole thing out of proportion. Although, fans love a driver that knows how to win.

  7. I dont think so, I think he is just having a h**l of a year!

  8. as soon as the hubbub of the race he made jr loose wears off

he will be back to where he was before this all came out, just a memory!!!!!!!

(P.S.-- Was very dissappointed that busch did that to JR)

Busch needs to grow up some more!!!!!!!!!

  9. Seriously doubt it.   Not this year.

  10. The think the Shrub could care less about his popularity, he just wants to win races, he is probably getting off on all the fans that dislike him. it just fires him up people he is that kinda guy, the more fuel we add to the fire, the harder he will drive to win, I think if we all just ignore the Shrub..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  11. NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, next question please

  12. Yes he will.  Everyone loves a winner.  Remember if you aint first, you're last.  The kid is an extreme talent, nothing but roses in his future.

  13. Well at the races I have attended so far this year the Kyle Busch-paraphernalia-wearing fans were slim to none. Given they were prior to Richmond. So, I doubt it. There may be a flare up of Juniorhaters on Kyle's bandwagon, and the "shrub"'s longer term performance will attest to the rest.

  14. i've seen a number of articles and sports show bits claiming that he has moved well into the top 10 in souvenir sales, and is close to cracking the top five.  not sure that's a perfect measure, but it does say something.  could be that lots of junior's more fanatical fringe need rags and firing range targets, but i don't think that would account for that big a surge...

    ;-)

  15. in the Top 5

  16. hes going to get first in the most hated driver

  17. I think he already has.

  18. maybe fifth, you forgot Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson. Or maybe seventh because I can think of a couple of other drivers who would come before ol' Shrub-a-dub-a-doo

  19. No.  He doesn't seem to want to be popular.  He'd prefer to win races at any cost.

Not sure which popularity poll you're consulting, if you think he would be third on the list.  I can think of a few dozen other drivers who would be more popular.

EDIT:  Mr. Tbone, the last time I addressed you, I was reported.  I NEVER said anything about dismemberment.  In fact, I believe I was even opposed to beheading.  lol

  20. either way, my opinion stays the same, I was his fan when  no one outside of nascar had a clue who he even was, now all of a sudden, people are like "hey, isn't that the kid that spun dale earnhardt jr. out and people were throwing stuff at him?"

    1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 43rd, doesn't matter to me(or his REAL fans)

  21. Kyle will be Known as the Most hated Driver after what he did to Jr.

  22. Go Kyle! #18

  23. Top 5 probably.  I thought Tony was behind JR but I may be wrong.

Nice to see Lynn in a good mood today.  No talk of dismembering Kyles body into trash bags at least.

    Gdday!
