Question:

Will Launch Cast Plus be there after I reformat my computer?

I am planning on reformatting my computer soon and I'm wondering if I'll have any problem getting my LaunchCast Plus station once I'm up and running again. Will I need to reinstall something or just log in as usual? How would I get my icons back in my quick launch panel? Thanks for any info on this or anything else I may not be thinking of!

  1. it has nothing to do with your windows..

just sign in from  your id..

  2. Your Launchcast Plus subscription is tied to your Yahoo ID, so when you sign into Yahoo again, your LC+ will be there for you.  LC+ has no dedicated software, however it does piggyback on other software.  Specifically, you need Windows Media Player.  Also, if you listen in the browser at music.yahoo.com, you need IE.  If you listen in Yahoo Messenger, you need to install yahoo Messenger (obviously).  And if you listen in Yahoo Music Jukebox, you need to install that app again.

If you have a YMU subscription, and not just Launchcast Plus, you need to be sure to deactivate your YMU license in Yahoo Music Jukebox BEFORE you reformat your hard drive.  Otherwise, you will lose one of your 3 licenses to use Yahoo Music Unlimited.
