Who will be the most likely closer next season?

Saito - had an injury this season, and couldn't effectively fan the hitters out. He's getting a little older every year, which is the main concern.

Broxton - work in progress. When he's good, he's really good..., but when he over use pitches, then he's in trouble. He's young and has a bright future if he becomes more consistent.

Kuo - Fitting well in long relief role earlier in the season, and being very good at the set up role. He's been rested well, injury free, and consistent this season. But he did have 4 surgeries before this season.

Other suggestions?

Also, could dodgers keep Manny?

Broxton is a work in progress, he has his moments where a batter can't get a hit off of him, but he also goes through times where he can't get a batter out. I believe Saito is under contract until next season, so he will still be there closer come next year.

Edit: Both Jones and Schmidt's contracts expire next year

If the Dodgers want to keep the stadiums filled I suggest they kepp Manny and find away to trade (18million dollar pinch hitter) Andruw Jones to open on the salary expenses.

Maybe Joe Biemel, he's been pretty effective as of late. As for Manny they might but the front office has spent a lot of money on top named players that haven't produced (Jones, Schmidt) it depends on how gun shy they are.

saito should be the closer, he has proven he is as good as anyone in the NL.

as for manny, i hear he could bolt and play for the yankees just to stick it to the red sox.

Personally I prefer Kuo to be the closer.  I'm always scared whenever they put Broxton to close.  He is not as consistent as Kuo or Saito is.

Manny, Manny, Manny..... let's keep him.
