Will Ludhiana (Punjab India) Airport be bigger then Amritsar's Airport?

Will Ludhiana's Sahnewal Airport be bigger then Amritsar's since, it's a industrial hub and is in the middle of Punjab? If so what type of International cities will Ludhiana's Airport serve.

Dear Mr. Sunny,

The new Green Field airport is only at the proposal stage. AAI is yet to finalise the blue print. The main problem is the presence of many Defence related Aerodromes near the proximity of the new Airport.

Once finished it should be a sufficiently big enough, to handle the Flights to Europe and Australia, as the largest population are bound to these destinations from Punjab.
