  1. I hope the experience of mine could be helpful for you.Check out this resource.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/ca...

  2. Ask your agent.  In most states, it is the driver who is insured and you are covered if you have the owners permission - to wit: any car rental contract.  If you are under special restrictions, such as SR-22, you may be insured only in a car registered to you or registered at the same address.  An exception would be a non-owners policy in which you are covered for property damage and liability for any car not registered at your home address.

  3. Insurance follows the vehicle, not the person.  If you drive someone else's vehicle that has no insurance and you are at fault for an accident; the other party does have the opportunity to approach your own policy.  Depending upon the circumstances, they may be obligated to pay for the claim.

  4. Unless you have some kind of restricted policy, If you have permission to drive the car and have a valid drivers license you should be covered.  Best to ask Mercury to be sure

  5. the insurance follows the CAR not the driver. (exception is a rental)  if you drive a friends car and they have insurance on the auto you are covered under THEIR policy as long as you have permission to drive the car.  if you have an accident their insurance is primary and if the damages exceed their limits, YOUR policy may pick up as secondary to help cover.
