Will MP3 2 channel be able to work on 5.1 channel surround sound system??

I have lots of avi files coded in mp3 2.1 channel format (encoded with LAME). I would like to know if i buy a 5.1 channel, will i be able to hear sound from all the channels or only from default left and right output???

  1. Not all receivers call it "5 channel stereo". I'm pretty sure my Yamaha calls it Disco.


  2. Yes, just change the receiver over to 5 channel stereo, and it will take care of the rest.
