Will Mane N Tail Products make my hair fall out?

I'm african american and I been reading that Mane N Tail products will do wonders for my hair and make it grow but my sister thinks it will make our hair fall out, so she doesn't want to try it.....has anyone tried it and their hair fall out a lot or it left a lot of greasy residue cause she hates that to. please I really want to try these products but want to know is my sister right

It made my hair fall out in clumps!  I will never put it on my hair again!
