no. i think it was a better possibility yesterday, and it seemed like trade talks were really heating up for a three way deal involving jason bay and jeremy hermida. now it doesn't seem likely, but you never know because the there is still time left. manny will probably leave boston by the end of the season anyway :(, so the red sox will just have to deal with him for 3 more months, (including the playoffs). scratch that, he is. went to dodgers. sox got jason bay. no marlins, only pirates, LA, and sox. pirates got a bunch of young guys, including moss and craig hansen, two guys who could be in the bigs by next year, or even this year. moss can produce though

Last I heard the trade talks were dead between the sox, pirates, and marlins. The marlins blame the pirates, the pirates blame the marlins, and the sox blame both for an inability to get this deal done.
