first off the red sox would have a big hole to fill if they were to get rid of manny. Can you really say that coco crisp in center and ellsbury in left will be better? Yes defensively but No in the hitting department. The guy can hit, and what will the phillies give up? Prospects, if the sox are serious about winning this year they wont get rid of him and just ride him out and let him go after this year.

I wish the Phils would trade for him because he'd be a big addition and Manny said he would approve a trade to Philly,but our retarded GM only likes trading for guys like Joe Blanton (horrible trade) and won't give Manny the money he would want.

I do not think the Phils will pay him what he wants, because if they are gonna shell out lots of money, it is going to be on a starting pitcher.

He'll stay in Boston this season, but I don't think Boston will pick his options for the nest two years. He'll be a free agent, and he will see a lot of offers from AL teams. He just can't field, but he is a great hitter though.

i think he's staying in boston...i hear all the rumors but his contract is huge and very difficult to move, plus the sox have to feel like they have a great chance at winning the division so moving your best power bat is probably not too smart at this time

For some reason, I just dont see Manny with the Phils, but I definitely don't see him with the Sox. I say 50% chance he goes to the Phils, 35% chance he goes somewhere else, and 15% chance he stays with the Sox.

Its a really tough decision.  But i think that the red sox are good enough without manny to compete.  I think their best move is to trade him, as he said "I'm tired of them, and their tired of me".

According to Jim Hill of CBS Los Angeles. The Dodgers are talking to the Sox about Matt Kemp for Manny. I don't see it, but that's what Jim says.

no not the filly although he will move to the west very soon maybe the dodgers but there he will fail misarably because he is to slow to field anywere besides boston and hes also going to ask for money then he deserves which means his chances of being traded are slim but yet very probable
