Will Many and Teixera become Yankees next year?

Question

The yanks need a first baseman and they will have money to work with, since Giambi will be a free agent and they get rid of pavano and his huge bust of a contract. So will these be in pinstripes next year or who has the better chance?

Manny - absolutely not.  I believe the Yankees know better than to get involved with that train wreck.

Teixeira - maybe.  They can afford him, for sure - and he might be worth investing in.  He wants a 10 year contract, and at 28 years old, that's not unrealistic.  He could easily be productive for that long.   I don't see him as an absolute MUST, though, for the future success of the team... so it will be interesting to see if they go after him.

texiera has a much better chance because the yankees will have a full outfield next year with matsui melky cabera abreu  and johny damon would be dhing if they got rid of damon manny could be the dh but they wont

teixera would actually give the yankees something they need in a defensive and hitting first baseman which the yankees have had since tino martinez ( giambi can play defense if you didnt notice already and all the other people that play it can hit anything)

i give teixera 8.5 out of 10 chance of being a yankee and manny 2.5 out of 10

texiera- maybe but I doubt it. Even though he would fill the defenseive void at first that we have been missing since Giambi took over, and since Giambi is gettin older he would add a new young bat to a oldder lineup.
