Will The City of Chicago welcome a new owner such as Mark Cuban who has been known to get a little bit to involved in his own Basketball team games by running to the basketball courts to dispute calls with referees.

Will he do this in Baseball if he becomes an MLB owner?

  1. cbyz dude, i dont how you can think Cuban will help the Cubbies franchise, Cuban is a immature man. i think it would be bad if Cuban owned the Cubs who i think are a pretty well respected club, despite the curse, Cuban is known for being a temper tandrum of a man who hasnt proved to be a successful Owner. but just a filthy rich man that acts like a spoiled child.

  2. I don't know if he will purchase the Chicago Cubs, or if he will be accepeted into baseball by other major league owners. But by looking at other people's answers (here), it looks like a lot of people are against the idea of Mark Cuban purchashing the Chicago Cubs. But you jst might think that it will be a perfect fit, since his last name is Cuban, and the first 3 letters of his last name, are in the Cubs.  Now he might have a little harder tie getting on a baseball field to argue with an  umpire, rather then on a basketball court to argue with a referee. Now plus don't forget Jerry Reinsdorf, he is chairmen for both the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls, but I don't think that he will bail on the Chicago White Sox, and leave to go own the Chicago Cubs. So where, both of his teams are in the city of Chicago, even through he was born in New York, his two teams are in the same city as each other, where if Mark Cuban does purchase the Chicago Cubs, and his NBA is the Dallas Mavericks, he will have a lot of flying back and forth to do, to take care of bussiness for both teams.

  3. the cubs can buy anybody they want now so...

it will be fun to see him in the stands-he's a big dork

  4. Will he??? Well..he's definitely going to continue trying. He knows what kind of product the Cubs are...and beyond that...know what a team with that kind of revenue, media and market is capable of. I don't think, however, that the other owners will allow it.

I for one, wish they would. I'm probably more anti Cubs than any other team in baseball...but I would respect them and pay attention if Cuban bought them. He would care about his players, team and fans more than any owner in the game, as he does with the Mavs. I think it's funny that people call him immature...even though really, he's simply an intelligent man who made his fortune and living a life most people can't even fathom...why shouldn't he enjoy it? He's the ultimate fans' owner...and I'm hoping he somehow gets the chance to buy a MLB team.

  5. I don't see him being a good owner. What has he really done in Dalaas? How many championships have they won, since he has owned the team?

  6. I don't think the baseball owners will allow him into their exclusive club.

  7. mark cuban will be the next owner of the cubs and wrigley field. it will be great for the fans cause they are getting an owner who likes to have fun. just look at him with the mavs, he sits in the stands cheering around everybody else. he will be a wonderful owner
