  1. I hope to god not.   Because he will spend a lot money to make sure they win a world series, no matter the cost.   And I dont want that at all.

  2. YES AND YES!!

  3. i hope so... he would be the best think 4 the cubs

  4. I dont think so

  5. Nope ...look at it this way .... look at all the owners who have stirred up the pot in favor of the fans and look how their peers view them (Veeck, Steinbrenner). Now look at the owners who are in it for themselves (O'Malley, Finley, Angelos, Mc Lane, Loria). Then ask yourself, "Which of these two categories does Cuban fit into?" The other owners will not be thrilled if he were to treat his Cub players like he does his Mav players - they don't need that type of headache.

So, even though I think he'd be a breath of fresh air? The "Lords of Baseball" never let him get in unless they are stupid enough to create a provable conspiracy case against him.

  6. god i hope not.. hes one reason i dont watch as much basketball.. the guy is a homo waiting to come out

  7. I think he will for sure win the bid.  What?  1.3 billion or something like that?  The question is the owners.  David Stern, NBA Commissioner, backs his attempt to purchase the Cubs, so I'm thinking that would have some sway over the owners.

    From the second link:

"Crain's Chicago Business recently quoted one of the bidders as saying Cuban is now "the lead guy" in the battle to buy the Cubs, while Boston Red Sox owner John Henry said in an e-mail to the New York Times that he could think of "no one better suited to reverse the fortunes of the Cubs for the long term" than Cuban."

So that's at least one owner that backs him, and it sounds like the players want him.  So...I think yes.  He will win the bid and get the backing of the owners.  Guys like Stern and Henry will be working behind the scenes to get the owners to approve.

  8. Don't really understand why you are asking this so.....NO!!!!

  9. He might win but like you say the other owners might not agree with it.  Shame too because he'd be a great owner.
