Will Mark Geyer get in hot water for what he said on the Sunday Roast?

For those who didn't see it Voss read out an email about an indigenous team for the world cup, in the email it picked a side and conceded that such a concept wouldn't happen but at least send each selected player a jimmy bar or a pair of bolt cutters. After a little discussion MG said "maybe you could send them each a bar of soap".

I missed the show Sunday, and if what you are saying is right, I can't believe there hasn't been more said about it.

The ATSI guys playing our game are near exemplary in the way they play, and the way they conduct themselves off the field.  Teams like the Bunnies are embracing the ATSI guys as role models and building community support as well as a great deal of respect across the general community for giving back.

MG has never been a politician, but Voss, who is a Bunnies supporter, should be tried on about that.  In fact, I'll be sending the Roast an email this morning.

I think with all the other hoopla going on, with drugs in some other code rubbish, and the rough treatment of the Peach by Souths, that no one took any notice of Mark Geyer

Is that how bad it is, when you say a tongue and cheek comment and the liberals rear there ugly head and get all politically correct on you.  If that is the case and I hope not then whoever does say anything should be sent a box of tissues and be told to dry your tears and harden up.  I am black and I have heard worse comments coming from my own family.  Please.

Conda - you have mis-quoted the 'roast' - what actually happened was - the email was from some people in 'JAIL' - the "jimmy bar/bolt cutters" comment was a joke referring to the email asking the 'roast' to "send them something", as was the "send them some soap" comment.

NOTHING to do with indigenous people at all.

Is it possible you could get into hot water for 'slander' for totally misquoting someone?
