  1. it is the same as when murli it took a long time but people started to find ways to pick him. it will take some time but because of all the film that can b yours and what line he mainly bowls certain balls...

  2. there is no mystery, they are playing him half heartedly due to doubts developed in their minds, they don't use their feet , they niether wait for the ball, he is psychologically become more mysterious than he actually is, he needs to be scored off heavily which they are not doing, either attack or defend properly, tentative play will lead to demise !

  3. it would be solved , but it will take time

  4. If Murali still has magic then, to solve another decade of Mendis will be tuff to face.

  5. might or might not because after lookin at the number of wickets taken by all lankan bowlers is it clear that Murali Mystery hasnt still been solved......so yea depends.........its only the asian countries who have played Mendis..........

  6. NO

  7. may be after couple of years

  8. Its take time

  9. well mendis mystery was solved by sehwag, who smashed all the time, and To a degree gambhir and sachin, inw hich sachin only got out once to him, and also attacked him and picked him. All the indian batsmen in the end of the test series, started pickig him, and sort of solved him.

  10. What is the Mendis mystery?

  11. Perhaps with time, batsmen will gradually get used to playing Mendis, but one thing is for certain-Ajantha Mendis is no ordinary bowler. Solving his mystery requires quality batsmen, who are used to playing all types of spin deliveries, and not a bunch of inexperienced players, who are themselves susceptible to quality spin attack. That's exactly what is ailing our team India. This senior-junior debate, and having 2 teams for the 2 formats of the game really isn't leading us anywhere.

Working out the "mystery" behind Mendis' action isn't a easy task at all, considering the fact that the best players of spin, like Sachin, Ganguly, and Dravid found it hard to face his deliveries. Naturally, the job would be even tougher for these inexperienced youngsters. They are either being too overconfident or playing in awe of Mendis and Murali. Both this situations doesn't benefit the team in any way. Sachin and Sourav surely had a disappointing test series, but the point to be noted here is that they hadn't been troubled by Mendis much. Ganguly knows well Mendis' action (since both played for KKR), and interestingly, he hasn't been dismissed by Mendis even a single time.  India could have perhaps exploited this factor if these 2 players were in the ODI squad. If given substantial amount of time, the big 3 could have sorted Mendis out, considering the brilliance they had shown against other spinners in the past. India is furthur moving away from solving the unorthodox mystery spinner by this unwarranted conflict between youth and experience. Our team will head towards the direction of solving Mendis' mystery, only when the truly quality performers are picked-for tests and ODIs alike, irrespective of their age.
