  1. he is not the best athlete in th universe but he is the best in water. he is not going to retire he doesn't have the most Olympic metals ever and that's another record he wants to achieve.he said in a interview that he wants to be the michael jordan of swimming so he needs to at least compete in one more Olympic.

  2. 23 sure is an early age to retire, so my guess is no.  he did say he would take a break from swimming, but he also said he will be in london come 2012.

  3. No he love swimming

  4. No he wants more money

  5. i don't think so as he is jus 23 or 24..i mean he's too young to retire!!

  6. No he's not retiring....I seen an interview on the today show with him and his coach and they both stated that they are going to take a break yes...but then they will start to train again for the 2012 olympics in London!

  7. Depends if anyone in the next four years can beat him.

  8. He said he will keep swimming till he is 30 and he also said in two months he will start training again for the London Olympics in 2012.

So you are safe for now : )

  9. sorry to bust your bubble. He only won so many cause all the real champions have retired..

Ian Thorpe, Micheal Kim bring back the real Aussie swimmers and let see how well he does.
