  1. Being independantly wealthy depends as much on how you invest, and how you spend, as much as anything.  Having more or less three million U.S. dollars is sufficient to be able to retire at a very young age, if you actually do put your money to work for you, and aren't blowing it on high end escorts and coke parties.  I think Phelps has that, maybe even more.

  2. I don't see how he wouldn't be - he's still only really young and he's already achieved so much. The only way for him to go now is up, up, up..... he will just get better and better. And with enormous victory and success will come sponsors, endorsements and special appearances which will bring him even more moolah.

    He's set for life.

  3. Yes probably he HAS SUPER HUMAN TALENT TONIGHT ITS GOING TO BE EIGHT WOOOOOOOT

  4. Yes!  They were saying the other night that he has surpassed $3 million already with endorsements and all. I'm sure now being the best Olympian ever it will continue to grow.

  5. PROBABLY

HE IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD

    GO PHELPS! =]

  6. I heard that if he achieves the feat he just did now, then he gets a 1 million dollar bonus from speedo

Which, comparatively is minuscule to many other much easier sports.

    Congrats USA swimming
