It certainly appears that way.

They will probably go 3-9.

They should beat, Toledo, Purdue, & Minnesota but that is all.

Northwestern & Notre Dame will give them problems & probably win.

As for the rest of the games on their schedule, they will probably get routed.

  1. i agree i am a michigan fan but without a scrambling qb in rich rodriguezes version of the spread offense it won't be effective at all

  2. I can never tell with Michigan. This is a year about getting to know each other, new head coach, new starters etc. Whether they want to admit this or not, they are in the same position as Notre Dame was last year.. REBUILDING, for them record means nothing. But I think they will go 6-6.

  3. If you are saying this because they lost to Utah, then you don't really know how good Utah is: they are a very good team probably going to beat out BYU to win their division. Now they do not have good spread offense talent but they do have Michigan talent and that is always good. Give Rodriguez 2-3 years, Michigan will be a national powerhouse again, the spread is a great equalizer, because you don't need a good player at every position: just a couple positions (running back and quarterback). I predict they will go 7-5

  4. Remember last year they were blown out by Oregon and toppled by Appalachian State (who was crushed by LSU last night). Everyone was predicting a winless year for the Wolverines. Michigan will not have a Notre Dame collapse this year, but anyone hoping for a Big Ten title is a little too optimistic. Utah is not Coastal Carolina (who Penn State crushed even worse than people thought they would), Utah is a respectable MWC team. This is a team that should improve as the year wears on. Here's how I've said all along their schedule will end up at the end of the year, and I'm sticking to it.

Utah - L (and I was right! close loss just like I thought)

Miami (OH) - W (I predict a blowout win to prove it won't be like last year)

    @ Notre Dame - W (It's close but I'm calling for a win)

Wisconsin - W (Michigan should upset Wisconsin here, who is a little overrated)

Illinois - L (Illinois will be about as good as they were last year, and Michigan won't)

Toledo - W (This should be a big win, but closer than many think, maybe two touchdowns)

@ Penn State - L (Penn State gets the monkey off their backs with a blowout victory over Michigan)

Michigan State - W (The blowout loss to Penn State is a wakeup call that the team needs to improve)

@ Purdue - W (Michigan pulls off a somewhat close win here)

@ Minnesota - W (Blowout win, Minny is better than last year, but not by much, Minnesota goes 4-8 this year)

Northwestern - W (The Wildcats aren't that great this year, they struggled with Syracuse, the Big East doormat)

@ Ohio State - L (Ohio State isn't going to win the Big Ten (or maybe they are), but they will beat Michigan here).

What I'm saying here is that although Rich Rodriguez is no Bo Schembechler by any means, he's also no Tim Brewster either.

  5. I say Michigan goes 6-6 or 7-5, possibly making a bowl game this year. There's one game you didn't put that Michigan will most likely win, which is the Miami (OH) game played next week. Michigan will improve every week, and find out what players fit in their offense. Michigan looked great in the second half against Utah. So, if that Michigan team shows up this season, we may see an 8 or 9 win season. I'll give you my predictions.

    Utah-L

    Miami (OH)-W

    Notre Dame-W

Wisconsin-L Unless Michigan's defense holds them

    Illinois-W

    Toledo-W

    Penn State-L

Michigan State-W Michigan has recruited better athletes than State

    Purdue-W

Minnesota-W But they have to earn it

    Ohio State-L

    Alamo Bowl

    Texas Tech-L

  6. i don't know if they'll go 3-9 but they'll be under .500 when the season ends. ohio state is going to kill them bad. mr walk-on nick sheridan is not the answer at QB. rich rodriguez is going to be criticized all season.

  7. The Wolverines?  They've been pretty good the past few seasons.  Just because they lost to Utah doesn't mean they're going to be bad.  I'm not a Wolverine fanboy, but I don't hate them.  They'll go something like 6-5 or higher.  I actaully prefer the NFL to NCAA.

  8. It might happen, but dunno. I am glad to see the traitor lose his first game. Yep, I am glad the scumbag is no longer in are program at WV. We will see how much Michigan fans tolerate him by the end of the season.

  9. im a lifetime michigan fan, but i have to tell you that watching them get manhandled by the utah utes tells me that there offense is only good for dump off routes for 2 yards, long, risky passes that are either incomplete or picked off, and a attempt at a rungame that resembles more than anything else my highschools JV team scrimmiging the varsity.  We've got 2 quarterbacks competing for the starting spot and neither of them seem like they can get the job done.  It's like watching someone trying to turn a herd of big, powerful bulls into cheetahs.

  10. Michigan will finish 10-3

  11. do under estimate michigan i think theyll go 4-8 theyll be northwestern
