Will Microsoft repair my Xbox 360?

I got my xbox 360 new with the warranty seal a little bit tampered. But I did not attempt to open my 360 at all. I've registered my name in and everything, so in case of rrod, will I be able to get repaired?

It depends how much the seal is tampered.

If the seal looks like the console was opened (i.e. the seal is torn in two, or one half is completely loose from the console, so you could open it without tearing the seal), then you could have some problems to prove Microsoft you didn't tamper with the console's innards.

Normally the warranty seal is hidden behind the faceplate. How did you manage to tamper with it accidentally?

If the seal is only scratched then no but if it looks like it cut or if there a mark down the middle where the Xbox opens then i doubt it, but you can call the, and explain that before you ask for the box to come for the repair.

Hi Willie

Yes they will repair your Xbox 360 as long as the seal is not broken. If the seal is broken I would take it back to the store and ask for another one just to be on the safe side!
