the year and his career record is now - 263 wins - 150 losses and he's at around 2,800 K's. Pretty good career, and he's 39. Considering that Randy Johnson is still going at 44 and Jamie Moyer at 45, I would think the Moose has 3 or 4 years left in him to get to 300 wins, you agree? I say yes on the 300 and yes on the Hall of Fame, you?

  1. If he continues to pitch effectively with his new style he will make it to 300. He is 39 years old so if he does not get injured for the rest of his career, he will probably go 4 more years. If he gets 15 wins a season for four years he will be past 300.

  2. I honestly thought the Moose was over and done with after this season, based on how he has been declining the last three seasons.

However, it appears he has discovered his command once again; similar to the likes of Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine.  If you watched today's game, he hit the spots on the inside AND outside corners perfectly to get strike outs.  If he can retain this control for the next couple of years, I don't see why he won't make 300 wins.

I think he'll make the HoF if that's the case.  He was one of the more dominating pitchers in the 90s.

  3. I think Mike Mussina will make the hall of fame regardless of how many wins he gets.  If he continues to pitch well and avoid injury, he should get there.  Also, if he gets good run support, that will definitely help.

  4. I think that he will make the HOF, i agree that he had a great career and he still has stuff in him (example: today!)

    he pitched brilliantly today

    way to go moose <3

  5. He will borderline on both. If he gets to 275 wins he will make the hall of fame. I also think he will barely fall short of 300 wins.
