Will My feather duster grow a new crown??? Is it dead???

My father duster just completly lost its whole crown! I saw the crown/feathers stuck in the intake tube of the filter. Will it grow another set back or is it dead?!?!?!??

  1. This all depends on how many times it has lost it in the past. In captivity they will only regrow their crown three times MAX. Be patient and keep an eye on it, if your have any type of grazing fish it will continue to get stressed out.


  2. he is not dead Go ahead and remove the crown keep an eye on him and make sure your perameters stay in check and that nothing is picking on him . He should regrow a new crown in 6 months or so..
