My boyfriend and I are planning on getting married June 2010. My Son is 5 going to be 6 in december, meaning he will be 7 going on 8 when we get married will he be too old to be a Ringbearer?

I have the same issue with my daughter by the time of the wedding she will be 6 will she be too old to be a flowergirl?

  1. 6 is actually a good age for the girl to be a flower girl, she will be old enough to be able to understand directions and social enough not to be too shy to do what she is told to do.  At age 7 your son might be a bit old to be a ring bearer, but I would just tell him that it is a very important position in the wedding party, and I am sure he will want to be a part of it anyway.  Good luck and best wishes.

  2. Not at all!  Ages for flower girl and ring bearer can range from babies to teens, I've seen both!

Plus, it's your wedding.  You decide who is in it, and of course your children should be a part of this special occasion because it's a family affair.

  3. no. as long as they're part of the wedding, it's fine.

over 10 years old, is kinda weird.

i think the older, the better because you wouldn't have to deal with crying and etc.

  4. i dont think there too old

  5. no they should be apart of it
