Will My snails eat the plants i put in the tank>?

i just bought some seed to gropw in my water and i want to know if my snails will eat the plant.

  1. Nearly all snails will eat plants if given the chance, and soft-leaved bulbs (seeds) are a perfect snack.  Malaysian Trumpet Snails ( http://www.planetinverts.com/malaysian_t... ) and Nerite Snails ( http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3241/2306... ) are the two most common, plant-safe snails.  Mystery/Apple Snails, Pond Snails, Ramshorn Snails, and most others will tear right through them.

    But yes, after the plants grow the snails will eat them all.

    There are only a few plants that snails wont eat.

    Unfortunately I dont have a list of them on me.

  4. What types of snails?  Some will eat certain plants, others won't touch them.

    And, what kind of seeds are growing?  Never heard of seeds for a tank, but hey, what do I know lol.....
