Will NRL teams fold when the AFL buys the Olympic Stadium??

The AFL have offered 200 million for the ground, I know NRL clubs get 100,000 to play there so what will happen when the AFL juggernaut buys the place for the Swans and the new West Sydney team? where will the Rugby play, surely not back at the old suburban grounds, they lose a lot of money when they go home, why doesn't the NRL build a Rugby League ground to cater for all the clubs, they could get out of it on the cheap by making it 10,000 seat capacity, I know it would rarely get filled but I reckon I have got it right again...DISCUSS

  1. all they need to do is play games at the sfs but the no brainer of nrl fans will say play at the small suburban grounds and the nrl will continue to die

  2. Wow your bloody brilliant.

Despite what any AFL follower will tell you, it is slightly above watching grass grow in terms of an entertainment spectacle. It does not have any significant following outside of the Australian states of Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania, with the more open-minded Australians (i.e. New South Wales and Queensland) preferring Rugby League and Rugby Union. Even dwarf-tossing is more popular in these states.
