  1. Sorry, no!  The ATP has taken care of any chances that Nadal has of winning the French, because of its ridiculous schedule.

  2. I support for both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal but I think it's going to be Roger Federer, who's proudly going to take up the French Open Title!!!!!! COME ON FEDERER. You can do it.

  3. Nadal Nadal NADAL. FACT= Never lost a match at French

FACT= Best clay court player ever

                                          FACT= He will win.

  4. Fed has a clay win % of 83% so far this year which is better than 79% overall win % and his career clay 75% and his game on clay has improved tremendously. He is a real competitor and knows how much it will mean for him to finally get the French under his belt so my money is on Fed to win.

  5. Although he's choked in the past vs Nadal, many people have a strange but strong feeling that Fed-Ex will SHOCK the world and win it this year, when least suspected.  He's been saving all his energy for this, and all his losses will actually work to his benefit.  This guy's a GENIUS, and it would be asinine to underestimate him. McEnroe even said that Federer was toying w/ Sampras in the recent exhibition matches, so Pete would not be embarrassed.  He just came back at will.  He's also lost on purpose in the past to conserve his energy for more important Slams.  He knows exactly what he's doing.  I've got a weird feeling of destiny happening.  ALSO, Nadal has a TOUGH draw w/ Nalbandian and Djokovic, AND the dirt will be faster this year.  DESTINY... Think about it!!!

  6. nadal

  7. I am DIE_HARD Rafa Fan..so i am not gonna take any else's name..Fed might stretch him to 5 sets, if he survives nole and reaches the finals..but not beyond that..

Nole will reach semis, if he's in rafa's half draw....or maybe even final if he is in the fed's half draw..

Roddick...why don't u read the news..?/ Andy has pulled outa of RG 2008..he his suffering from an upper back and shouler injury

Tsonga..has just recovered from his knee injury....he hardly has as any good wins on clay...in any case, i am never gonna count him as a contender for French

Gasquet...he says he is not in RIGHT MENTAL STATE...so he is also considering pulling outa french open..

  8. The 3 top-ranked players are the best contenders.  Federer wants this so bad bec it's the only grand slam he hasnt won yet.  Nadal needs to win so he could stay #2 longer.  Djokovic wants to get to the top.

Then, of course, any of the other players can just surprise us!  Like Ferrer in the US Open and Tsonga in the Australian Open.

Who knows?  But I'm rooting for Nadal.  I feel that he's the underdog in spite having won the FO thrice.

    FO's gonna ba exciting!

  9. IF Rafa is in topnotch form, then he is definitely the contendant to beat. It's hard to see how anyone could beat him if he plays at 100%.  But that's a big IF,given how prone his feet and ankles (especially) are to stress related injury. It also means he has to stay healthy(no viruses,no bacterial infections, etc ). Tennis, like any other competitive sport, is never a foregone conclusion. That's part of the drama and passion.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: the players you mention aren't exactly "new". Only Djokovic,I think, is one year younger than Rafa. I believe all the others are his age or maybe older(Roddick?) and have been around for the same time, more or less. If I'm wrong, somebody, please correct me!!!

  10. i'll bet on rafa ! he's the best

but i wnt mind if roger wins !

  11. You would expect Nadal to win, but if he chokes like John Terry of Chelsea, and if Federer has Manchester United's luck, Fed may pull it off.

  12. Ofcourse the one and only - ROGER FEDERER!

  13. yes

  14. I think it will be too tough for Nadal this year.

  15. i think and i'm hoping!
