Will Neturing a dog make his bonners stop?

My dog gets a bonner EVERY time he gets a bit excited and it really grosses me out. Would getting him fixed stop him from getting a bonner???

  1. It may lessen the problem but he can still do it.

  3. Nope.  They just get them whenever they feel happy and good...  They're not even necessarily sexual in nature.  Weird huh?

  4. It might lessen it but won't stop his ability to get one, no. You should really get him neutered anyway for his health.

    and it might stop the lipstick, it might not...many dogs still get it for months after being neutered....but it eventually goes away

  7. Took me a while to figure out what bonners was. Most male dogs, neutered or not, will have this happen when they get excited about something such as food. Get used to it. Maybe you should have gotten a female dog if you feel this way about such things.
