Will O2 do a credit check before they sell me a phone plan?

I'm moving to the UK for the first time and want to get a phone as soon as possible. Will this be hard for me if I've never lived in the UK before? Do O2 do credit checks?

Yes.  Especially in the current economic situation. I guess thats where pre-paid / pay & go phones come in handy to buy when this happens - coz theres no credit check there.

Yes they will, o2 are particurly hard to get with here in the UK, I know that they ask for a £150 deposit if you have no credit history. 3 are easier to get with, I have adverse credit, and managed to get a contract with them no problem
