War on business? I guess you don't like your job much? Oh, wait you are probably looking to government to provide for you.

As for "big oil" the oil companies that sell gas or petrol to the consumer make about 8 cents per gallon. The real money is made by the sell of contracts and leases, which is driven by speculation, not the oil companies.

If you want to talk about something that needs fixed, how about Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae? Books cooked for billions, more than Enron cooked their books.

Where is the real corruption?

The Democrats will never stop their communist war on free trade and capitalism though.

They are trying. I guess they are jealous of China's government which owns all of their big domestic businesses.

Really, who wants businesses to all die and become government entities? Can you imagine the customer service you would get? Who would let congress control any business; they cannot even manage legislation efficiently.

Even IF they could manage to pass some all-encompassing legislation that all-but outlaws 'big oil', or puts so many restrictions on them that they simply cannot do business in the US...

there is still British Petroleum, the Saudi Arabian National Oil company (the largest in the world), and many other non-US oil companies.   What the he\\ are the Dem's going to do about THOSE big oil companies??????  They can't do squat.

Besides, even if that kind of legislation was miraculously passed somehow, Exxon, Mobil, Standard, Shell, etc. will all just move off-shore.  That means less tax revenue for congress to spend.  How could they be that stupid???

oil company's rule the world their is to much money in the oil industry and they will rule no matter how much harm it does.
