  1. No.. The democrats cannot afford to acknowledge any success at all in Iraq. A successful Iraq is a disastrous November. Same thing with low oil prices. That's why Nancy Pelosi wanted to adjourn the House for summer vacation before they could vote on offshore drilling. She knew there was a good chance it would pass in a bi-partisan vote, and that would lower gas prices. If that happened, Obama wouldn't be able to use it against McCain and the Republicans in November.

The Democrats don't give one care in the world for you and me -- they care about getting control of the government and then control of your life. Period.  Let's just hope there are more people with common sense that see through their empty rhetoric this November.

  2. The "Surge" is a battle in a war that has gone on for nearly 5 years.   The war was lost a long time ago..  The Surge involved a troop increase and millions of dollars in cash payments to Muq'Tada  who agreed to keep his Shitie terrorist Zealots quiet... for a while.

We've also given the Iraqi government billions of dollars - much of which hasn't been spent ( or not yet stolen).

If the so called "Surge" is  succesful, then shouldn't we be pulling out of IRAQ ?  The answer is that we can't pull out of Iraq ye because the "Surge" is a temporary fix.  Once we leave and our cash dries up, the Shities and the Sunni's will be back at it and the Kurds will be stuck in the middle.

  3. Yeah...the surge is working. It took BILLIONS and BILLIONS of dollars, borrowing our children's future and money from China, approximately 5 years (longer than WWII) after declaring "mission accomplished", and we won.....WHAT?

What did we win? Terrorism is still spreading. The ACTUAL terrorist who killed the people in New York and Washington (remember them?) are still in Afghanistan, and a Civil War is still going on.

So what did we "win"? By the way, how's our economy?
