  1. Don't be ridiculous. The Home Office can't just OUT an IT company that is running a project or programme. They would need to wind it down and replace the IT Provider.

The ONE contractor will be held accountable and sacked most likely.

It is VERY likely that the USB Stick will turn up somewhere. Maybe in a jacket, his laptop case, under a pedalstal, under some paper.....

Did the big wig who left TOP SECRET documents on a train get sacked or replaced. Did the MOD get sued for loosing 500 laptops? No.. so there you are.

  2. The same could be said for all the child tax credit claimants data they lost. My personal details could be at the hands of a fraudster and i have not claimed for any compensation. Why should prisoners of all people be offered compensation?

If you were to receive this data and found out that a convicted paedophile was living in your street, would you allow that monster to claim for compensation?

  3. No but I bet the tax payers will.

  4. I very much doubt that the Home Office included a Liability Clause in the Contract anyway.

What seriously tees me off is the fact that the Criminals have rights of compensation at all, where-as the ordinary ''Honest Joe'' has not (as proved in the last incompetent losses).

So the answer is: The Tax Payer will foot the compensation bill, just as we are footing the bill to keep these scum locked up.

Look out for the big bonuses the ''PA Consulting'' bosses will get.

The asylum is ruled by those that are truly barking mad.
