  1. You want to blame Thompson for this mess?

    Unknown QB????

Rodgers has done everything the Packers have asked him to do. He has sat the bench for 3 seasons and learned the offense every bit as good as Favre ever knew it.

He has also stepped up since March and assumed the leadership role they wanted him to take.

Then, here comes Favre with his "I have an itch" c**p.

    HE RETIRED.

The team moved on without him, that's what you do when players retire.

No one "forced" him to retire, no one held a gun to his head and made him do it. If he just would have made it clear then that he still wanted to play, they could have handled the whole thing differently and both sides could have been satisfied.

There is no one to blame for the whole thing except Favre.

And yes, they probably will be chanting for Favre.

Just when their starting QB needs their support the most and wants to feel welcomed and comfortable on a team he has belonged to for 3 years.

But no, he will have to play with all the fans harrassing and heckling him from the stands.

The fans have made it clear to Rodgers that they hate him and don't want him on their team.

So, hopefully he has a great year.

He is in the last year of his contract. So hopefully he leaves all the unappriecative and hateful fans behind and signs a big contract with another team who's fans will be happy to have him.

    It's disappointing.

All I ever heard my whole life was how great the Packer fans were.

They have clearly shown their true colors through this whole thing.

  2. If Rogers struggles Thompson should probably room with Bartman.

  3. yup.  good move green bay.  Cant wait for that monday night game!!!

  4. ya!

  5. Why is Ted Thompson being blamed for Brett Favre's constant threat of retiring, the Packer Management finally got fed up with him and gave him what he wanted,no one put a gun on Brett's head and made him retire,he did that on his own,on national TV and crying like a baby

  6. What unknown QB?  Rodgers was one of the best in college, and has been groomed well under Favre - as were many of the starters in the NFL today.

Maybe you should stick to rooting for your own pathetic team!

  7. Yeah that was a stupid trade....they shoulda traded Aaron Rodgers cas' Brett can still play for a couple more years

  8. the only way that wont happen is if aaron rodgers has an mvp-like season, he takes them to the super bowl, or he gets hurt. other thatn that, ted thompson should get his resume ready

  9. They might but I hope not.  If anything they should be kissing Ted Thompson's feet right now.  The drama is finally over and we can begin moving on with our football lives.  I think the Packers made the right decision because Favre pulls this stunt every season and quite frankly I'm tired of it.  If you are going to retire just do it.  The man is 38 and he only has about 3 GOOD years in him.  The way I look at it, if Favre stays in GB, Rogers becomes a 7 year backup with no NFL playing experience and the team goes like 3-13 for like the next decade.  Who wants that?  I don't care because I'm a Skins fan but I would hope Packers fans don't want to see that happen.  Let Rogers play now and get the young QB jitters out of the way.  He played pretty good against Dallas last year and they aren't exactly a slouch (until playoff time that is).  Thompson should be respected for making a decision that took a lot of testicular fortitude.

  10. Packer fans are kind and forgiving and soon they will all be unified again.  Whether they favor Thompson or want to run him out of town will depend only on whether or not the team wins games.  It's that simple.
