Question:

Will Palin stick her foot in her mouth?

I loved her speech last night. It was well written, well prepare and well rehearsed (as all acceptance speechs at conventions are). I have 1 concern. Parents are instinctively protective of their children and since Palin is reatively unknown and most certainly untested on the national scene, in light of the horrific disgusting media coverage of her pregnant daughter, will she inevitably stick her foot in her mouth and say something out of pure instinct to protect her daughter? I don't see how any parent can shut off those instincts.

Your thoughts.

  1. Every politician sticks his or her foot in his mouth eventually. If you talk enough, you will eventually say something wrong.

She said her family faces challenges, and she is right. As long as they do face up to those challenges, there isn't much anyone can say.

If I were in her place, I wouldn't even acknowledge that sort of talk.

  2. She seems like a pretty cool customer to me.  I wouldn't worry too much.

  3. No, she's too busy servicing her running mate.

  4. I wouldn't worry too much about it; one person's foot-in-the-mouth is another person's brilliant comment. Personally, I think the lady will handle herself just fine.

  5. If her foot gets stuck anywhere, I hope it is in the *** of some of these socialists who call themselves liberals.  But seriously, I believe she is too smart for that.  If she didn't do it in her speech last night, I don't believe she will.  She seems like a strong individual who possesses alot of self control, unlike Biden and some of his past comments.

    EDIT

If you want to see someone stick his foot in his mouth, I suggest watching Obama on O'Reilly tonight.  He won't have a teleprompter, so I am sure it is going to be interesting to say the least.

  6. Self-restraint.  She will be fine.

  7. I believe I'd let her stick her foot in my mouth!

    (oops...hee hee...sorry, I lost control...)

  8. She did give a great speech, but, it was replete with misinformation and lies.  These will come back to haunt her, thus, the foot has already been inserted.

Given the over-the-top attacks on Obama, I expect a complete retort towards her scandals and ethics as well as confusion between personal belief systems and public policy.

  9. She already has with the lies she spewed and was caught by AP writers who are pointing it out and angering all the neo-con nut-jobs.

  10. She doesn't seem too protective of her children thus far!

  11. She'll blow it.

  12. I don't think so. I think she will try to avoid it. That is what she's doing now. She kind of touched on the subject in her speech. She said something to the effect that great things happen sometimes with bad too but you have to take the good with the bad. I think she will be able to handle herself.

  13. Her debating skills are unknown.  So far everything has been scripted but against a Biden known for his "verbage" it will be interesting indeed.

I'm sure McCain camp is doing their job to coach her on how to deal with the situation.  What she can say and what she can't say.  At this point Palin is employeed by McCain just like Biden is employeed by Obama.

    Politics... Gotta love it... Pffff

  14. Yes, but only after she stops chocking on her bible.

  15. She is very smart and she will handle this in a very well mannered way.

I like her dem or reb.  I think she will do great

  16. Joe Biden has a lifetime of experience of putting his foot in his mouth. I wouldn't worry about Palin. She can hold her own.

  17. She already did.

  18. She sets traps, she wont step in one
