Will Paul "in the wall" Tracy have a ride come race day at Indianapolis?

Rumor has it Penske will run the 77 car.  That COULD be Sam or Tracey.

I sure hope not.

He's too dangerous and hot headed to be running at 220mph.

That's just my opinion , but I really don't like seeing him on the super speedways. He causes enough damage on road courses  at 100mph.

PT bashed the 500 so much (after losing to Helio during the "yellow flag incident",) that I find it surprising he is even interested in entering the field.

Perhaps all the gnarling and gnashing (by Paul and his fans) has evolved into PT's own version of "The 500 Curse"...?  (Whereas Michael Andretti just can't seem to get to the finish line first; PT may not even get to the start line in this historic year of unification.)

It would be sad if "The Chrome Horn" is absent from the '08 grid, and I do hope he gets a ride.  I'm curious as to how he would fare in this year's larger-than-usual field...

Right now, it doesn't look good, but many last minute deals with sponsors and teams are made. The biggest problem right now is the lack of spare cars and parts. With the merging of Champcar, the parts suppliers are still playing catch up. Apart from all that, there are many younger, talented drivers that could be in the seat. Paul Tracy is on the short end of his career, and it might very well be over.

It's not looking promising. I think PT really shot himself in the foot first by the "crapwagons" remark and then saying he only wanted to drive for a top team.  Combine that with the fact that there isn't really a sponsor who can go with him right now and it doesn't look like Paul Tracy will race the Indy 500.

Its not looking good, his best hopes is someone gets hurt ( I hope not) and he is a fill driver.. I would like to see him in the race..
