  1. he said hes gonna "hang up his suit" after '12......... ='[

  2. I think he said that he wasnt going to swim after he turned thirty, he is 23 now and in 2012 he will be 27 so in 2016 he will be 31 so i guess he will not compete in Chicago.

  3. actually, he's not even planning on being in 2012, much less 2016, he's already done what he's needed to do, so he's swimming at the world chamionships in indianapolis next year, then he said he's retiring, having nothing more to conquer

  4. hopfully if he wasent that wood suck

  5. I don't think so, he said he wouldn't swim if his times decreased. So I think 2012 is his last time.

  6. Before the Beijing Olympics he didn't rule out 2016 but in an interview after the Olympics he mentioned he'll take time off to relax before preparing for London 2012 and the Rome 2009 World Championships. In the next breathe, when they were talking about Dara Torres, he mentioned he won't be swimming after his 30th birthday and that London will be his 'last hurray'.

But he's not planning on such a vigorous schedule for London. No repeat of 8 gold medals or even dropping the 400 IM to make room for 9 gold medals. (But you never know. Maybe someone, like Ian Thorpe will say 'He can't do it"! LOL)

    Enjoy!
