  1. Push-ups are mainly to target your upper body and arms.

The thing with push-ups (sit-ups, crunches, etc.) is that you have to continually INCREASE the amount of the workout to see any results. If you keep doing the same amount and same intensity every day, your body will get accustomed to the routine and there's no more resistance; thus, no more strengthening.

So, try to do 5-10 more push-ups each day. =D

The muscles you get from push-ups will be between minimal and noticeable. It all depends on EACH person because not everyone is alike with how their muscles react to which types o fexercise. If you want really noticeable, you need to lift weights.

    Good luck!

  2. Yes, of course.  Any weight lifting routine will add muscle and increase strength.  A routine of only pushups may not be the best sort of routine, but it exercises all the muscles you have mentioned.

  3. there are no exercises that would ADD any muscle to any part of your body the number of the muscles in your body will always stay the same. what you can do is exercise the muscles you already have and make them bigger and stronger. but sorry you can never add any new muscle to your body

  4. Yes it will add muscle, but after a certain point you will not grow anymore because you need more resistance than just your bodyweight.

If you have never trained before you can add noticable muscle size and shape.
