  1. Not yet... but he will close the gap.

He will likely be number one in Cincinatti with a gud showing...

  2. No. Nadal can become No.1 after Cinci if he wins the tournament and Federer loses before the semis. The points they earned last year still count because the schedule has been changed to accomodate the olympics.

As I understood it, Federer will retain his ranking if he wins Cinci and Olympics regardless of how Nadal performs. I'm not entirely sure about this though.

  3. NOT YET. but i'm sure he will someday. hope in this cincinnati

  4. no!

but Rafa will be no.1 most likely after Cincinnati. Fed can't defend his #1 spot by himself even if he win Cinci.

if Rafa win in Toronto, a semifinal spot in Cinci is sufficient to become #1. if he loses the final in Toronto, a final spot in Cinci will do (always provided that Fed can defend his Cinci title, otherwise Rafa may lose already in the quarters or even round of 16 to become no.1).

    edit:

now that Rafa won in Toronto, he will be no.1 if Fed doesn't win in Cincinnati, regardless in which round Rafa loses.

  5. probably not but maybe
