Will Raid Deep Reach Concentrated Foggers kill brown recluse spiders?

I found THREE adult brown recluses in three different rooms today. I have 2 sons, ages 2 and 1. We are all at my mom's tonight and I'm going to use the foggers in the morning at my house since my landlord won't fumigate the place on his own dime. I could only afford the Raid Deep Reach Concentrated Foggers so I bought them and plan to use them in the morning. The box says they kill spiders, but will it work on brown recluses? I'm afraid I have a possibility of having Black Widow spiders as well, and want to fumigate the place ASAP especially since it's the first spiders I've seen in the house and they're brown recluses.

Should the foggers work since it says it kills spiders? Also, I have 13 ft. ceilings, and the box says each fogger is for 6,000 cubic feet. If I'm going to fog the whole entire house at once, how many foggers do I need? The house is roughly 1800 square feet with a full unfinished basement which has no walls. The basement ceiling is roughly 6 1/2 or 7 ft.

  1. I prefer a 12 gauge.

With that little funny out of the way, you should be ok.  I am arachnophobic, so I really would shoot one first and spackle later.  But if the package says it kills spiders, you are ok.  You also want to get a sprayer and go around the perimeter of your house, inside and out.

I would go with about 1 fogger per major room.  That includes everything except closets, bathrooms, and hallways. Keep doors open to these areas and let it go in from there.  If you have two or three of these together, you may want to go with one per those two small rooms.

    Good luck.

  2. call professionals ASAP

  3. spiders don't seek you out to bite you.they are in far more danger from you  than you are from them. sweep them up with the broom and deposit outside live and let live.where do you live brown recluse spiders only reside in the southern usa,and usually in the cooler areas.black widows live all over but easy to be rid of put away the poison and buy a fly swatter.........tom

  4. NO! Foggers and other pesticides do not work because it kills other spiders and insects and that's what the recluse feeds off of, so they actually like pesticides.

Research has found the most effective way of reducing the population is through sticky traps.

I am a Brown Recluse Bite victim, bit in April and still dealing with it, but the first aid kit and sticky traps on the following site was a MIRACLE: http://www.brown-recluse.com

The above site purchase the sticky traps and it wouldn't hurt to have a first aid kit on hand, they work WONDERS, trust me, I'm usuing on my recluse bite now and it's working...1 wk in the hospital and 6 different antibiotics since April, that didn't work, but this stuff is!

The traps are cheap, buy them now, I have them all over my garage and they work GREAT!
