Will Randy get his 300th this year?

The D-backs are back to early season form, winning series and owning the NL west. I know Randy would love to get his 300th career victory, in what might be his last season. Think he can do it?

  1. It will be tough for him to do this season, he has to win 7 of 10 (roughly the amount of starts he will get the rest of the season) with little or no run support from his teammates.  If he does not get it this year they will have him back for one more year to get the job done.

  2. As much as I want him to, I do not think he will get to it this year.  He would have to win the rest of his starts.  I want him to thought.

  3. Randy Johnson is an enigma...

Yes, there is a possibility for his 300th this year.

He is going to need 8-10 good, quality starts and run support...

I would not rule it out.

  4. At the moment Johnson stands a 293 wins.  He has won 9 games in 4 1/2 months of baseball.  I doubt that he will win 7 more games in the 2 1/2 months remaining.  Remember, we are looking at a very average D-Backs team.  It's not to say that it can't be done but at this point I wouldn't bet on it.  My guess is early next season.

  5. yeah they have been playing better lately

and well idk if he will get it this year, but i think if not he will come back next season and get to 300

  6. John what are you talking about hes gonna throw his arm out trying to get 300??? its not like hes trying to throw 300 miles per hour, getting 300 wins is a benefit of pitching 10-12 more games this year, and i doubt that him attempting that will throw his arm out??

To answer your question, no, he does not get 300, he falls short at 296, but definitely comes back and gets 300 next year, to solidify his hall of fame status.

I dont think he will get 300, b/c RJ pitched 7 2/3 of good ball last night, but his team didnt even get its first runner on base until after he was out of the game.  The offense has been struggling(other than the first game against pittsburgh) they have scored three runs or fewer in 6 of their last 7 games.  Their pitching is great, but that is asking too much out of a staff.  Furthermore they have some tough series coming up in hitters parks (Houston, Colorado).  RJ falls short this year, but hits it early next year

  7. Yes

  8. With about 46 games remaining, he probably will get 8-9 more starts, in which he would have to win each start to get to that milestone. The way he has been pitching lately, and with all his years in the league, it is very well possible. Along with the fact Diamondbacks has awoken with their sleepy offense. Will be interesting to see if he falls a win or 2 short and come back just for this accomplishment.

  9. Sorry but I don't think he is making it this season but he is probably coming back next year and is making it then. But he will make it if the D-backs make it to the World Series.

  10. yes he will. he just has to throw like he has been

  11. no the season is almost over and he is stuck on wat 292 and im pretty sure hes not gonna pitch 8 more games just to get to 300 he should just wait till next year if he goes for it this year he will throw out his arm trying to get 300
