Question:

Will Republicans forbid the use of teleprompters at their convention?

I've seen so much criticism and derision directed at Obama when he speaks without a teleprompter, how he sputters and stutters, and "umms" and "ahhs" and "errs", that I have to ask, will republicans prove what great orators they are and NOT use teleprompters at their convention?

  1. Good point, no pee breaks for Grandpa either.

  2. I have no problem with teleprompters - it beats the h**l out of a typical newscaster flipping through his notes while trying desperately to look like he is simply carrying on a conversation with the viewer.

The simple truth is that Obama, without his teleprompter and carefully prepared speeches, tends to become somewhat tongue tied when trying to answer random questions. One might say that he's not too quick on the draw.

The Presidential debates should reveal if this criticism is valid or not.

  3. Did you see Juan McCain's speech in the green room?

    What a dud.

But of course, they will forbid teleprompters.  Republicans are perfect.

  4. Uuum, ahhh, hmmm er, ahh, mmm. huh, mmm.

Barack Obama has approved this message.

  5. Yay, just what I wanted, a president that makes stuff up as he goes

  6. Hey at least the spook can read without any thought process interruptions and grandpa doesn't need any pee breaks, he has a king size depends on at all times.

  7. They won't be using them at the debates if Obama ever gets up the courage to actually engage in one.

  8. Thank God we are finally talking about the issues that matter to America and the world!!!
