Will Resseting my router to factory settings disconnect all users connected to it?

Hi, I have a D-link wireless router and i need to reset it to factory settings so that the password and username wiil be "admin" and no password. Im asking if doing it, will it reset the connection settings on the connected computers? do i have to connect them again coz i dont know how to configure routers w/ computers?

  1. Yes, it will kick off everyone. To reconnect, just open the wireless connections and connect to yours.


  2. If you have enabled security settings for your wireless, and if you have wireless clients connected to that router, it will kick them off.  That will leave your wireless router wide open for neighbors to connect to.  However, if you did not lock it down and if you did not change your SSID from the default, it will not kick anybody off.
