  1. I think it is up to the Argo coaching staff as to when they bring Ricky Williams back.

  2. It's odd there hasn't been much of a buzz about his impending return.  Makes one wonder if there will be 'complications' (translation-Miami says no more playing) that keep him out for the rest of the season.  Jeff Johnson is the best back in Toronto right now anyway and deserves the chance to show his stuff more than he has.

In the end it doesn't really matter.  Ricky's game is designed for the NFL anyway and the Argos haven't been a running team for 25 years.  To play effectively out of the backfield in Canada, quickness is a bigger factor than strength (see Charles Roberts, Joffrey Reynolds, etc.).  That's not to say that Williams couldn't be an excellent player up here, but his game would have to change and for a one year stint, there's not much point in that.

  3. he will. hes tough as a bull, and so freakin hot. puuurrrrrrr.

  4. Ricky will be back in time for the Argo's next game.

Despite this, i doubt it will make much of a difference. Argos never run the ball much anyways, and i doubt this will change much with Ricky.

  5. I don't think he'll play this game but he'll be ready next weekend for sure.

  6. 1.) I have no idea

    2.) I really don't care.

    3.) Go Stamps go!!!!

  7. No idea and it really won't make much of a difference as Argos seem to be winning w/o him. To be honest, his season is shot given he'll be so out of sync with the current Argos' O.

It'd be nice to see him play well as he seems a good guy but there are far better backs up here than the rasta back.

  8. Ricky will be ready to play September 23rd.  He is completely healed and ready to re-start practice.  As far as interference from Miami goes, I don't think it is a factor.  He is under contract with the Argonauts and he has an obligation to play for them.

As far as Williams making a difference, I believe that his presence on the field makes a difference.  Even if he doesn't have a stellar game running the ball, adding the play-action to Williams can be enough to throw off defences.  Williams has proven that he can run in the CFL and he is an effective addition to the team.

  9. think so.
