Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand has been charged by the FA for allegedly elbowing Hull City's Craig Fagan in last weekend's 4-0 victory at Old Trafford. If he admits the charge a three-match ban is likely and he will miss tonights Carling Cup semi-final against Manchester City and Sunday's match against Arsenal, but if he contests the charge and is found guilty, a four-match ban is the more likely outcome.
