  1. yes

  2. Yes I have heard the Roger is sick or something like that and he is getting older

  3. Yes, Federer is now 27, which is old for a tennis professional, while Nadal is only 22, and ranked #1 as of the 18th of Aug. Nadal will be at the very top for a long, long time.

  4. Do I need to remind you bubbleheads that 27 is not old for tennis. Agassi made the finals of the U.S open when he was 35. In 1991 at 39 years of age Jimmy Connors made it to the quarters of the U.S open. Do I need to mention that Martina Navratilova won her  final slam at 49 years and 11 months old.?

Now back to the question at hand. Nadal has earned that spot, it is entitled to no one. Federer will get hungry to regain it. I look forward to the 2009 season.

  5. Nadal became entitled to the number one spot when he one in the Quarter Finals of Cincinnati. His loss in the semis meant that he will receive the number one spot on Aug 18 2008. Nadal, from what I can remember, only made it to the 4th Round of the US Open, so he will not have many points to defend. Federer, however, won it, so if he wishes to have any hope of overtaking Nadal he will need to win again. Nadal is playing very well on hard courts at the moment, after his win in Toronto, so I think it will be difficult for Federer to take back his spot at the top this year. Maybe next year if he is back on for, we must all remember he had Glandular Fever at the start of the year, and this takes a long long time to get over. Maybe even up to 12 months. I wish all the players best of luck at the Olympics, and may the best man win!

  6. yes nadal is certainly entitled to the number one ranking come AUG 18.. federers win in Cinniciatti will be erased...

federer has too much to defend, and has had a bad season..

nadal is considerably younger, more freash and getting better and better..

federer is on the decline, he will not get any better then what he was last year in 2007.. not that he is too old, but i think his time at the top is done..

the only downfall to Rafa is he plays a very physical game, he can be ailing physically and has to watch that because his success does depend on his physical fitness...

  7. Yes he will !!!

  8. Hello, Nadal is #1!!!

  9. Yes he earned it and it will reflect on the ATP rankings from August 18th...

  10. nadal already is #1 since he won the wimbledon

  11. Yes, Federer's win in Cincinnati will come off the books this next coming week.  So, as of August 18, Nadal will be the new #1.  It'll be tough for Federer to overtake him anytime soon.  Federer has so many points to defend that there is no way for him to make up ground.

  12. yes ,might be because nadal is becoming more experience while federer is becoming old.

  13. probably considering he won mens wimbelton
