I have 10' maple saplings growing illegally close to some shallow foundations. I cut them but they keep returning. Will Round-Up kill them permanently?

  1. Maybee but ortho brush-b-gone will kill anything.

  2. Here is a little known trick that has been used in the mountains for ever. Drive a copper nail or two into the tree, one low and one on the opposite side higher up. The tree will slowly cease to thrive.

  3. Round-up will kill anything if you put enough on it.

  4. Not sure about Round-Up, but gasoline will do the trick.  Not sure if that's legal or not, but it doesn't take much.

  5. Try Cross Bow, it's like Round Up but stronger and made especially for trees and bushes.  Round Up usually just kills the leaves damaging the plant but not killing the trunk and the roots so it grows back.

  6. Yes!  Cut them and then use a paint brush to apply round up concentrate to the exposed area.
