Will Russia go to war with the United States???

We have been training 2,000 Georgian troops and Russia might think that is a good reason to go to war with the U.S.

This is very iffy. The things going on in the world are biblical. We are already at war, The storms are more severe, the climate, more frequent earthquakes, volcanic eruptions as well as famine. We just went through the tomatoes and peppers having salmanella, and now millions of beef being recalled by Nebraska and Omaha meat companies because of E. Coli. (JUST FOR STARTERS).

Our wonderful President Bush. I give it to him for having a set of brass Hardware, for not putting up with c**p from the middle east and terrorism. BUT!!! He can also envoke Executive power to accually stop the election and still be the President, only if something catistrophic occurs and this could be the time to do so, I mean there are alot of people that do not want Barack to become President.

I do agree with some of the other comments above about the U.S or Russia not wanting to goto war, due to it being nuclear, because it would be that way. I  hope that would not happen, but its definitely the end times and anything is possible. So I do believe that this is the opportunity for P. Bush to envoke the Executive Power he holds to accomplish this.

It is very ironic that when I read the headlines about Georgia and Russia going at it, I right off the bat stated to my wife that we would go to war with Russia. I have been wrong before. This is my oppinion and not a debate, But sit back and watch, GEORGE BUSH IS NOT-----FINISHED IN WASHINGTON----NOR IS HE READY TO LEAVE!!!!!! no because earth would ciese to exist in some point of the conflict. And also russia currenly in Georgia isint sending its armies. The Only things that have gone there is an extra airborne platoon. Russia is still trying to keep this at a peace keeping way. If it really wanted to it could wipe Georgia of the map. And the US is no where near to help.

Short answer, NO.  Russia does not have the military capability to go to war with the US.  As overwhemingly as they are to Georgia - they should have defeated them in a few hours.  Russia's military is weak and their combat training is old school.  They are now beginning to figure this out in Georgia.  

Also Jurij-EU is throwing a bunch of c**p into the mix. The US did NOT start this war and don't really have much to do about it. It's not anything close to a genocide going on there. BOTH sides have killed peacekeepers in the area, not just the Georgians. Be careful what you believe from this person, it is nothing more then anti-American propaganda and is trying to sell them self as knowledgable when they live in the Ukraine, have no borders with Georgia, and were once a part of Russia.

  For all we know, the US provoked this little pre-occupation in Georgia, just to keep the Russians busy while we finish the job with Iran.

As we debate this issue, there are nine (count them) nine carrier battle groups steaming towards the middle east.  This is an unprecedented number of aircraft carriers  along with their support ships, subs, and more nukes than have ever been assembled in one war zone.  They are not just American ships.  They include British and French ships, along with French fighter planes and pilots aboard American carriers.

This looks very much like  E/U,  American, and probably Israeli showtime against those dumb @ss Persians who insist their nuclear development is strictly peaceful.

I have said all along, that Israel will not wait for the presidential elections, for fear that the neighborhood organizer gets in.  They want the assurance that their back is covered by someone with a set of stones, and that ain't Barack !  So, if it comes off the way I predict, you bottom feeding liberals can take credit for provoking a world calamity with your touchy, feely, insistance of having the candidate you have choosen.

Russia has no beef with the USA as long as the USA stops pushing Georgia into NATO or encouraging Georgia to do so.

If the US persists in insisting that Georgia belongs in NATO, Russia will solve the problem locally and there's not much the USA can do about it.

We're broke and our army is broke. All we have is air power and that's not going to bother Russia very much. They haven't the logistical capability of going much of anywhere and really they don't have to.

The USA will throw Georgia to the wolves if they have to.

Russia would be foolish to declare war on the United States. Even in our "weakened" state, with our military stretched to the limit, we would still wipe the floor with any country in the world, including Russia.

Don't think so. Large countries don't really like going to war with other big countries. They generally try diplomacy first.

Georgia – aggressor! Georgia at the beginning of the war. CNN, BBC - lie. Night Georgian soldiers killed 2 000 peaceful sleeping residents. Saakashvili - a war criminal! Do not believe CNN and BBC.  Russia does not want war. Russia defends women and children. Tell the truth all people!
