  1. Not directly, at least not more than the fringes of the system.  It's possible that the city could be affected by an influx of people fleeing the storm - perhaps permanently this time.

  4. We  are too far from the coast  ,  people  that are   evacuating  are coming here    because of this reason . I can't remember  if  San Antonio has ever   been  heavily affected by a hurricane  usually they die down and become  tropical depressions  or just really heavy storms  

  5. No its not going to effect San Antonio. San Antonio is too far away from the coast. Situations like this is why I'm glad i live in Chicago.

  6. San Antonio Texas is landlocked, meaning it is not a coastal city.  Hurricanes usually lose a lot of steam once they travel over land because water is what keeps them strong.  

    Hurricane Gustav is heading to Louisiana so you really don't have to worry.
