Question:

Will Sarah Palin be questioned in a non-Republican venue?

Great, wonderful, she gave a speech to the Republican base, essentially a "cheer track."

But from this point on, is McCain's camp going to try and hide her to where she doesn't have to answer unscripted questions without help from Bush speechwriters in a Sunday morning talk show or something similar that is completely candid? If this is how it is going to be, they lost my vote. I want these people questioned and not tipped off to what these questions are going to be. What is your opinion?

  1. She will still have to debate Biden. And even if she's turns down press interviews, everything she says and does will be scrutinized by the press. She will indeed be questioned. How she and the GOP answers remains to be seen.

  2. Cut her some slack.  It took Obama forever to finally show up on Bill O'Reilly's highly popular show for some real questions.  Palin has grit.  She's dealt with scummy politicians and can handle herself with elitist journalists.

  3. If someone else gets to choose the venue/setting, that means she might not be able to bring her family along to exploit, and what is she without them?

  4. LOL!  No, way.

  5. It is doubtful that you will see Sarah Palin anywhere other than at campaign appearances before friendly audiences.  I would love to see her interviewed by a good journalist, but I doubt that is gonna happen.  You certainly won't see her taking questions from a bunch of reporters at a press conference lol.

When it comes to the VP debate with Joe Biden, Sarah's scripted appearance at the RNC won't be much help to her.  Sarah read a speech that other people wrote for her from a teleprompter at the convention. In a debate with Joe Biden she will have to respond quickly to questions about foreign policy amongst other things where the only background she has will be a McCain campaign cram course she is presently taking. She will try to recite talking points that she has been schooled in, but won't have any deep understanding of many of the issues she might be asked about. Contrast that with Joe Biden's extensive experience in foreign relations and national domestic policy and I think it is pretty apparent that she will be overmatched substantively. She will resort to trying to be cute and deliver zingers that she has been coached to remember. It will be a typically phony display by an unqualified lightweight.

  6. I'd like to see her on Keith Olbermann. If Obama can go on Bill O why can't she go see Olbermann?

  7. Haha, I think Sarah Palin could answer abrupt and non scripted questions better than McCain.

She will do her tour on the media... and she will be very impressive.  This is a woman of true character.  She knows what she believes in and will work hard to fight for what is right.

You don't have to worry about press conferences, reviews, and interviews if you are honest and tell it like it is.

When you're shady, trying to manipulate every quote, trying to appeal to everybody at one time, and trying to appear like a Messiah, its is much harder to do.
